My Project

I am the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) teacher to 720 amazing students. This is my first year teaching STEM, so I am still in the process of collecting many of the supplies used in a STEM class. This project would support the engineering component of STEM.

Building blocks are a staple in many STEM classrooms because they help kids develop important STEM skills like spatial reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.

The students in my STEM class will use the building blocks for various activities such as constructing mazes, recreating famous landmarks, building robots, fabricating props for stop-motion animation productions, and creating mosaic designs. Those are just a few examples of how building blocks can be utilized in STEM class, but the list goes on and on.

Thank you for helping me prepare my students for their future endeavors in engineering by donating various building blocks such as LEGO, Duplos, magnetic blocks, and wooden blocks to my class.
