My Students

My students are unique, and a masterpiece woven gently into their own personal strands. My students are severely to profoundly disabled. Their current level of cognition ranges from 2 months to 5 years old. Chronological ages from 11-14 years old. Most of my students are visual learners with concrete reinforcements and tangible rewards.

My students are Special Education students who love to learn.

They enjoy working towards goals that promotes success! Their warm tender hearts and eagerness to please speaks volumes.

My Project

Intellectually disabled students learn differently than many others. Given opportunities to engage in a reward system helps build character. Teaches a sense of ownership and promotes positive behaviors.

Using a reward chart that is bright, colorful and interactive, allows my students to visually make connections with positive reinforcers.

The learning objective allows the students to understand that a job well done gets recognized and rewarded. Rewards will range from small prizes to gift cards in the community. Students will have multiple opportunities to earn stickers to place on their charts based on their individual abilities to complete their tasks.
