Intellectually disabled students learn differently than many others. Given opportunities to engage in a reward system helps build character. Teaches a sense of ownership and promotes positive behaviors. Using a reward chart that is bright, colorful and interactive, allows my students to visually make connections with positive reinforcers. The learning objective allows the students to understand that a job well done gets recognized and rewarded. Rewards will range from small prizes to gift cards in the community. Students will have multiple opportunities to earn stickers to place on their charts based on their individual abilities to complete their tasks. .
