My Students

I am in the middle of my 12th year as a third grade teacher in PA. Over the years education has changed dramatically. I believe it's always important to keep focus on the students. Today's students live in a fast-paced, ever-changing world full of choices. Creating a classroom environment that allows for student collaboration, problem-solving, and communication is essential.

My students thrive in hands-on learning and small group work.

Please help my classroom on this project. Thanks for taking the time and please feel free to share my project with others.

My Project

Pattern blocks are a great way to introduce math concepts in the classroom. Pattern blocks help students to explore many mathematical topics, including congruence, similarity, symmetry, area, perimeter, patterns, functions, fractions, and graphing. The pattern blocks will engage my students into hands-on learning. They will help to make student learning more concrete. The pattern block trays will help students keep their blocks organized and manageable. These blocks will be great for classroom learning, small group instruction, and learning centers. These manipulatives will also foster creativity and connect art to math.

Students can develop an understanding of relationships between objects with different values, such as coins or place-value models with the use of pattern blocks.

Your donation will help make this possible. Thank you!
