Hello! I teach Early Childhood Special Education. I have two classes that I teach. A morning and an afternoon class that consist of 8 children each. Each of my students is here for a reason and has qualified to be in the program. They have various needs that may include speech, behavior, learning delays, health impairments, autism or various other reasons. They are all awesome and special in their own ways.
Their joy and excitement for learning and coming to school make each day that much more enjoyable.
They come off the bus with smiles on their faces and ready for the day.
My Project
Preschool children learn best through play and what better way to support that than in our block area. Children love to be creative and build with blocks, but we could use some additional materials in that area to help with the creativity. Currently we only have basic wooden blocks, and I would love for the students have more to build with.
My students love to copy what they see at home through play and the Lakeshore Block Play People will help them extend that into the block area.
These multicultural people will bring diversity into our toys.
The ramps and ball exploration set will extend the children's curiosity into how ramps work and how items roll. This is a great independent science experiment for the kids to explore.
All of these items will be placed in our block area for the children to explore during free play times and bring new life to that area for my students.
