One of the themes that we spend a lot of time learning about and the children love in the spring is insects and bugs. As three and four year olds, with special needs, the children learn best with hands on materials. They like to hold and see what they are learning about. It makes the learning more real for them. With these materials from this order it would captivate the children's attention and aide them in their learning. These materials will also help as science is a missed learning opportunity a lot in preschool. A lot of emphasis is put on literacy and math which is great, but if a science aspect can be added in to gain their interest in that area it would be a bonus. With the ability to look at real bugs in the bug viewers the students will have the opportunity to grow their vocabulary and see what they really look like up close and personal.
