Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school, nestled in an economically disadvantaged neighborhood, is dedicated to fostering strong connections between the school, community, and families. We strive to provide opportunities for our students to thrive in a positive learning environment, irrespective of their cultural backgrounds. Unfortunately, many parents in our community face time constraints due to work commitments, limiting the quality time they can spend with their children.
In our continuous effort to strengthen the bond between the school and our community, we have been organizing various events and activities, such as movie nights, game nights, summer splash... Our focus on positive behavior has been a cornerstone of our approach, creating an atmosphere where students from diverse backgrounds can excel and feel recognized.
Every month, students earn passes for their positive behavior, a testament to their outstanding work ethic. As the school year draws to a close, we want to celebrate and reward their hard work in a memorable way.
Traditionally, we host a vibrant outdoor summer fair, a much-anticipated event that brings joy and camaraderie. This year, due to ongoing playground construction, our students have been unable to enjoy outdoor playtime with their friends.
To ensure a spectacular end to the school year, we're seeking your support to bring inflatable golf games to our summer fair. These engaging games will not only provide hours of fun for the students but also allow them to connect with friends and important adults in their lives.
