This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a diverse set of classroom books. The titles chosen will help my students start healthy conversations surrounding diversity and the significant contributions of women and people of color.

With these books, my students will have the chance to expand their knowledge of multicultural education.

These books are not only vividly illustrated, but also grade level appropriate. This makes them perfect for learning in our classroom. Students who learn about different cultures during their education feel more comfortable and safe with these differences later in life. This allows them to interact in a wider range of social groups and feel more confident in themselves as well as in their interactions with others.
