Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is a mixture of bilingual, English learners, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students in a Title I school. My students are a lively bunch who love to explore the world through educational experiences and play. They are motivated to advance their learning with the materials and opportunities for academic growth provided to them. Each year I love to encourage a love of reading by gifting each of my students with a book for Christmas to read over the break, and another end of year book gift for summer time!

This project would provide my Kindergarten students with the book "We Are in a Book" as a Christmas gift and "Kindergarten Graduation" as an end-of-year graduation gift!

It also includes tissue paper and paper gift bags to put the books into. These gifts are always a huge hit with my students and their parents as they motivate them to read more and help stock their home libraries at the same time!
