Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a reading intervention teacher. In my classroom, I have a book check-out program. By encouraging my students to check out a book and read daily, they are building their vocabulary and their confidence. They look forward to reading the books and sharing them with their families. In our school, over 80% of our population receives free or reduced-price lunch. Many of our students don't have books at home to read.

Many of the books I have purchased for my classroom library have been well-loved and need to be replaced.

By funding my project my students will have new books to read and share with their families. I would appreciate any or all funding for this project.
