This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our amazing students will be doing hands-on learning about building and engineering in our STEAM lab. They will be building model cars, airplanes, and boats using the project materials/kits. They will build the car and airplane models purchased through DonorsChoose and your generous donations. They will learn logical thinking as well as manual dexterity. These students have not experienced model building at home because of their economic status. They will learn a hobby that they can take with them for the rest of their lives. Then, they will demonstrate their building technique and final product and be videotaped sharing their projects in front of the class.
