Hi, my name is Richard Redmond. My students call me Mr. Rich. I teach at an inner-city elementary school in South-East San Diego. Our population is low-income San Diego students. We are starting off the year by putting together a STEAM lab and we could use help raising money to buy equipment. We have 15 computer stations in our lab. The students work with partners to explore STEAM activities. We have wonderful students, full of positivity and energy. We are an inner-city school, with few outside funds. Many of our STEAM projects do not cost much and I can purchase materials at the Dollar Store. Some of these examples are: Skittles Stratification, Computer Programming, Marshmallow Triangle Construction, Cup Programming, and Build Your Own Telephone. However, there are other projects that require kits. We need science kits for our K through 5th graders to give them hands-on experience in STEAM activities. We will send pictures and progress updates as we use these kits in our lab. Thank you for your consideration! I believe in these students! Please donate a few dollars. A couple of bucks can make a big difference.
