My Project

Young children learn best through hands-on, sensory-rich experiences. In our Early Childhood Education classrooms, many students benefit from repeated exposure to sensory play to build foundational skills in language, motor development, social interaction, and self-regulation. This project aims to create a Sensory Table Library—a collection of themed, ready-to-use sensory bins and materials that can be rotated throughout the year to support diverse learners.

By funding this project, donors will help provide engaging, developmentally appropriate sensory experiences that promote exploration, inclusion, and meaningful learning opportunities for all students.

Sensory play is not just fun—it is essential. It supports:

Fine motor development (scooping, pouring, grasping)

Language growth (describing, requesting, labeling)

Social skills (turn-taking, cooperative play)

Emotional regulation (calming, focus, engagement)

Currently, we have limited sensory materials, which restricts our ability to offer varied and novel experiences. A sensory table library will allow us to rotate themes, maintain student interest, and provide repeated practice with essential skills.
