My Project

Every student deserves a classroom where they feel prepared, supported, and excited to learn. As a middle school Exceptional Children (EC) math teacher, I work with students who have a wide range of learning needs. Many require additional support, hands-on instruction, and differentiated materials to help them build confidence and master grade-level math skills.

My students thrive when they have access to basic classroom supplies and engaging instructional materials.

Unfortunately, many come to school without the essential items they need to be successful each day. By providing these supplies in our classroom, I can eliminate barriers to learning and ensure every student has the tools necessary to participate fully in math instruction.

This project will provide everyday classroom essentials such as pencils, notebooks, dry-erase markers, folders, graph paper, calculators, highlighters, sticky notes, composition books, tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, storage containers, and organizational materials. These supplies will support daily instruction, small-group intervention, math centers, independent practice, and testing accommodations. Having these resources readily available allows students to focus on learning instead of worrying about whether they have the materials they need.

Students in an EC classroom often benefit from repeated practice, visual supports, and organized learning environments. The requested supplies will help create a classroom where lessons are interactive, engaging, and accessible for every learner. Organization bins and folders will help students keep track of assignments, while graph paper and calculators will strengthen problem-solving and mathematical reasoning. Dry-erase boards and markers encourage students to practice without fear of making mistakes, promoting a growth mindset.
