My Project

My students are energetic, curious, and eager to learn through hands-on experiences. As a Pre-K teacher, I work with young children who are developing important academic, social, emotional, and communication skills. Many of my students learn best through play-based activities that allow them to explore, create, and interact with their peers. The resources in this project will help provide meaningful learning opportunities that support their growth in all developmental areas. The couch will create a comfortable and inviting space where students can enjoy books, practice early literacy skills, and participate in small-group learning activities. A cozy reading area encourages children to develop a love of reading, improve listening skills, and build vocabulary through shared stories and conversations. The cash register will enhance our dramatic play center by allowing students to engage in real-world learning experiences. Children will practice counting, number recognition, sorting, problem-solving, and communication skills as they take turns being customers and store clerks. Dramatic play also promotes social-emotional development by teaching cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution.

Together, these resources will help create a classroom environment where children feel comfortable, engaged, and excited to learn.

The couch will provide a welcoming place for literacy and relaxation, while the cash register will encourage imaginative play and early math skills. These experiences will help my students build confidence, strengthen relationships with their peers, and develop the foundational skills they need for future success.
