This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In my classroom, I have a total of 14 students, 10 boys, and 4 girls, who are extremely energetic and eager to learn. The students are considered to be at risk for education. Therefore, it is the goal for me and my teaching assistant to give our students the best educational experience that we both can. Our students are bright, loving, and very outspoken for their age. Whenever they are learning something new, they are always engaged and excited. Their imagination is out of this world!
My Project
The materials that I have chosen for my students include: dress up clothing, musical instruments, jumbo pencils, play dough, and a few other things. My wish for my students in our dramatic play area is that they can express their dreams and display their imagination. In today's day and time, not too many children actually get to be "children" and that's not fair. When they come into my classroom, I want them to see it as a place for children to children and a place where their imagination come go as far as they would wish. I also want to build up their fine motor skills, so that it will be easy for them to do things like hold a pencil and write their names.
