Building Imagination and Cooperation Through Play

My Project

My students are young, energetic and enthusiastic learners, who enjoy learning through a variety of opportunities. Much of the school day is spent focusing on developing literacy and math skills, but the importance of purposeful play in the early childhood setting cannot be overlooked.

Children can learn so much as they engage in play, including concepts of teamwork and patience, vocabulary acquisition, and strengthening their problem-solving skills.

Learning how to cooperate with others and using language as they engage in dramatic play are skills that will benefit them throughout the rest of their lives.

This project will help to supply my classroom with much-needed materials that will allow for students to build their creativity, while making sure that students of all races feel included in our classroom environment. The variety of toys will allow for students to choose what they are interested in playing with, while also hopefully sparking interest in trying new things with friends.
