My class consists of three students who pay full lunch, two who pay reduced lunch, and the rest qualify for free lunch. We are a rural school in South Carolina.

Fractions are a hard concept to understand without being able to see the parts. I have no manipulatives to help my students move from concrete learning to abstract understanding.

I need these five sets of fraction towers to help my students see the different size fractions. In the past, students have drawn pictures with little understanding of the differences in the fraction pieces. This method was not as successful as I had hoped. These manipulatives will enable my students to see and understand fractions.

You will make it possible for my students to reach an understanding of fractions and move from the concrete level to the abstract level of understanding. Drawing pictures has not helped students understand the different size fraction pieces.
