Building for the Future with STEM!

My students need real world problem solving STEM kits! The Don't Lose Your Marbles and Thomas Edison Stem kit will inspire critical thinking and promote teamwork!

My Students

My students come from a rural farming community. They are hard workers with great values and morals. They love to learn and are enthusiastic about new opportunities and challenges.

My class is a diverse group of learners with various abilities.

I have students who speak a language other than English, have special education needs, and have students who come from families that do not have the financial means to provide experiences outside of the school day. That is why I aim to provide daily instruction and activities that enrich the lives of my students!

My Project

Some of the best inventions were created through discovery learning. I want to give my students the opportunity to take what they have learned through reading and research and apply it to hands on learning discovery!

When students are excited about learning, then learning becomes natural.

The Stem kits that I am requesting will present students with a real world challenge and then give them the resources to build a structure that meets the problem solving criteria.

Collaboration is key! These challenges not only put students background knowledge to work but they also provide the opportunity for students to work together in a group each contributing their own expertise. The skills that students will be using are exactly what we hope they will be able to do in the workforce later on.
