Each year, I am blessed with an amazing group of children, whom I learn from daily. They come in each morning with so much to share with the class and me. They are full of life and want to share that with everyone around them. At the beginning of the school year, my students enter second grade as shy first graders. However, when they leave for third grade they are strong, confident, and determined. Being part of this process is what makes teaching so beautiful.
My Project
The materials I am asking for are to be use during center time. I currently have some centers up and running. However, I would like to add some more to the mix. Kids are such creative individuals. Unfortunately, it isn't always that easy to show all their amazing creativity due to curriculum and dead lines. I am asking for magnetic tiles for a building center. This will work on building team work and learning how to work with others. I am also asking for paper, scissors, and colored pens for a drawing station. My students really enjoy making things and are super creative. These materials will allow students to build on teamwork skills. They will have to work with each other to build structures using magnet tiles. They will also need to work on sharing as well.
