I work in two elementary schools with 3rd-5th grade students who have the potential to shape the the future of our world.
I provide a challenging environment for students who perform, or show potential for performing, at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience or environment.
My students receive differentiated education services beyond those ordinarily provided by the regular educational program. Outstanding abilities are present in students from all cultural groups, across all economic strata and in all areas of human endeavor. The goal for gifted education is to provide opportunities for the fullest development of each learner's potential.
My Project
The great thing about the escape room I am planning is that the puzzles the students need to solve in order to “win” or “escape” will challenge them to think critically and work together. Important skills they need to be successful in the 21st century.
The materials I have decided to incorporate focus on concepts that
require mastery of math, language and problem solving and the application of those skills in new situations.
The products I am asking for will provide students with challenges in the form of math puzzlers, language challenges, cooperative puzzles, and brain teasers. This will give them an opportunity to apply their previous learning in a new situation.
