This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help our adult transition students develop essential self-care and grooming skills by providing them with hair styling tools and products. Your support will boost their confidence and independence as they prepare for work and social opportunities.

In our adult transition program, we focus on equipping students with the life skills they need to thrive independently.

One key area of development is personal grooming, which plays a significant role in self-confidence and workplace readiness.

Many of our students want to learn how to style their hair using curling irons, flat irons, blow dryers, and styling products but lack the resources to practice these skills. With your help, we can provide a variety of styling tools, brushes, hair ties, and products that will allow students to gain hands-on experience in personal grooming.

By learning how to care for and style their hair, our students will feel more confident in social and professional settings. This project will not only enhance their self-image but also teach them essential self-care habits they can carry into adulthood.
