The flexible seating stools will provide my students with comfortable, engaging seating during small group instruction, allowing them to focus better and participate actively. The laminator, lamination pockets, and paper cutter will enable me to create durable, hands-on learning materials that can be used repeatedly, reinforcing key concepts in reading and math. Storage boxes will help organize differentiated activities, making it easier for students to access materials that support their individual learning needs.
My goal is to create an interactive and structured learning environment where students can build confidence in their skills while maintaining the momentum needed to finish the year strong.
To achieve this, I will:
• Implement daily 1-minute fresh-read progress monitoring to increase reading fluency and accuracy, framing it as a “fluency challenge” rather than a test.
• Encourage students to track their personal progress with a “Beat Your Best” approach to develop a growth mindset.
• Adjust reading and math groups based on individual student needs to ensure targeted instruction.
• Use spiral reviews, quick checks, vocabulary activities, and exit tickets to assess understanding, determine mastery, and identify areas for reteaching.
My students are eager, hardworking, and motivated to improve their skills. They thrive in an environment where they feel supported and challenged. By providing them with engaging, hands-on learning opportunities, I can help them stay excited about their progress and build the confidence they need to succeed in both reading and math.
