Building Community in the Classroom With a New Carpet!

My Students

The energy and desire to learn found in my students provides the perfect opportunity to instill a love of learning and a strong foundation. Imaginative, creative, and eager are three words to describe these young minds. The ethnic melting pot brings culture and diversity into my classroom. Students learn from one another and enjoy the opportunity to collaborate as they develop social skills.

My pre-k students come from a variety of backgrounds both economically and socially.

The majority of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch.

My Project

This carpet will be used daily by my 4 and 5 year old pre-k students. The carpet will provide us a place to explore new concepts together as I introduce my students to school for their first time. Our school has a diverse group of students that need a space to come together and find out how exciting learning can be.

A new carpet in our classroom would serve as a gathering place where my pre-k students will learn how to work together, build community, provide versatile seating, provide less slips, and give a warm and cozy environment to optimize learning.
