My Project

My science students love STEM challenges and this project will be a great tool for helping them to experience the skill of effectively communicating and collaborating in science class. I am requesting LEGO sets, plates, and snacks for our positive behavior reward system.

Being able to brainstorm solutions, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others is a skill that students must develop in science class and in any career, so this challenge is an excellent way to allow students to develop those skills.

Students will build a structure using the LEGO blocks and plates, then write down the steps for rebuilding the structure so that another peer can replicate the structure.

I researched the LEGO company and found out that they choose materials for the production of their product that are sustainable and contribute to the reduction of green house gas emissions, so they are constantly improving their products to ensure that they are making a positive impact on our climate and environment.

The materials I am requesting will be used for many years to come. I appreciate you investing in our students. This allows me to expose them to as many experiences as possible to help in the development of skills that can be used in science class and in all areas of their life.
