About my class

Technology is an essential tool used in our world today for communication, collaboration, learning, and data collection in most careers and school settings in some way. This project will make a difference with my students' learning because it will allow them to experience learning in an engaging and productive way beyond paper-based activities. I will be able to develop activities that incorporate technology that will meet the needs of my English Language Learners, Special Education Learners, On-Level, and Advanced learners. They will be able to collaborate with their peers through Google classroom and Edmodo, create digital learning products to show their learning progress, gain immediate access to class notes and assignments, and participate in online interactive simulations and assessments. They will also use the Chromebooks to organize lab data and develop presentations based on their learning. In addition, those who want to do further and deeper into the content will have an opportunity to do so. The experiences and knowledge my students will gain from using technology in a variety of ways will help to prepare them for their next level of learning and future careers. Today technology is being used almost everywhere! My students are currently at a disadvantage because I do not have technology for them to use that is readily available. They deserve the best science experiences beyond just using paper-based activities and I hope that they are able to gain access to those technology experiences through this project.
