My Students
I have a wonderful group of first graders that love to read! They are curious about learning and find joy in small group activities that allow them to work together. I love how eager they are to hear a new book or learn a new fact. Each student has added to our classroom in such a unique way.
My students believe that books can take us on adventures, help us learn more about the world, and teach us to be our best selves. Their curiosity has helped me grow as an educator and learn to love more of the 'little things in life'.
My Project
These books will provide children with character-building experiences that are captivating. At our school, our students are driven by becoming EPIC leaders. This means they work hard to show Empathy, Perseverance, Integrity, and Curiosity. These four words can be challenging for young minds to grasp and understand. We are hoping that through books we can promote these characteristics in all children.
With this variety of books, our students will gain access to all types of stories that help them understand our core values. Not only do we hope to instill these values while in the classroom, but we hope to see children demonstrating these values throughout their entire school day and at home with their families.
