Building Blocks!

Help me give my students blocks during virtual learning. We are beginning our building unit! Our students will be so happy to have a set of blocks at home to use their imagination and create unique structures!

My Students

Our Norfolk, Virginia Pre-K students are amazing and resilient! We are located in a dedicated military town. All students have risk factors that qualify them for our program. I see the sparkle in their eyes when they login into the computer. Distance teaching is challenging, but with hands-on materials, we can help them thrive!

My Project

Building blocks at home during virtual learning will give each student materials that we usually share in the classroom. During virtual learning, replicating the classroom experience can be daunting unless we can supply them with similar experiences.

Giving each student a set of blocks during our Building Study will help our students to learn problem solving, imagination, self-expression, mathematics, continuity, creativity, science, and self-esteem!

Blocks keep children engaged. At first students may explore and then move on to elaborate planning of structures.

Children learn to reason and ask questions of themselves like how making a structure taller, wider, or longer will affect what is being built? Please help give our Pre-K children blocks for virtual learning and make this essential early learning experience a reality.
