Building Blocks for Budding Brainiacs!

Help me give my students hands on tools for early literacy and math. We are learning about letters, sounds, vowels and consonants, rhyming, CVC words, sight words and number fluency. These early foundational skills are the building blocks!

My Students

My inquisitive 24 kiddos are first, second and third graders at a public Title I Elementary School in North Charleston.

My kids come from very difference backgrounds and the school has a balance of African American, Latino and Caucasian kids.

They are on all different levels with children receiving resources for speech, reading and writing, OT, PT and second language learners.

My goal is to create a warm and positive community to foster lifelong learners and global citizens!

My Project

Help our budding brainiacs build up their literacy and math brains to GROW into BIG thinkers, problem posers, problem solvers, and critical thinkers. With the right FOUNDATION all kids can build up their toolbox for success!

Our young literacy linguists & marvelous mathematicians are eager to explore!

Kids' brains are elastic bands ready to STRETCH. These resources will be put into their hands as they explore and grow! The best readers...READ, READ & READ! Early readers need to learn to decode the squiggles and funny looking lines, circles and curves. Kids need lots of exposure to letters, sounds and numbers to make sense of the print around them.
