Building A World of Readers & Mathematicians

Help me give my students more books, reading materials, and math games to boost their reading skills and math fluency.

My Project

The effects of Covid are serious, and we are working ha to help our students heal, grow, and close the gaps created in all areas of their lives. I have a class o kind, loving, and endearing students. These post-covid students are hard workers, dedicated to their learning, friendships, and the community around them.

Due to Covid-19, our students are not at the academic level where typical 4th-grade students have been in the past.

The supplies selected will provide opportunities for individual confidence building while having fun. The personal journals at multiple levels will ensure I meet students where they are while working toward grade-level writing standards. The chapter books at diffe ent levels are to help complete our book club sets so that students can each read their books and come together to discuss the text. Mathematical fluency is the most significant influencer of mathematical reasoning at all levels. The math games selected are aimed at fluency and will increase positive self-talk related to math skills.
