This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our DonorsChoose project will create an environment where discovery, dramatic play, and hands-on learning come together to spark curiosity and imagination in our transitional kindergarten classroom. Young children learn best through exploration and play, and with new materials, they will have opportunities to build, create, and experiment in ways that make learning meaningful and fun. Whether they are investigating how things work, designing with blocks, or engaging in sensory activities, students will be developing problem-solving skills, fine motor strength, and confidence in their own abilities.

Dramatic play materials will allow students to step into different roles, use their imagination, and practice important social skills such as cooperation, communication, and empathy.

Through pretend play, they will not only develop language and storytelling skills but also learn how to work together and express themselves in new ways. By combining discovery-based learning with hands-on experiences and dramatic play, our classroom will become a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child feels excited to learn each day.
