Building a Love for Reading Through Books in Our Room
My students need books for a print-rich classroom in order to aid in their improvement as readers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my 4th grade class are a wonderful group of students. Many struggle with reading, but are extremely eager to improve their reading skills. Within my culturally diverse, low-income school district, many students come to my class reading below or well-below grade level. I feel being able to provide my students with as many options for reading both independently and within a small group will be extremely beneficial. I always enjoy looking up from working with a small group to see my students "truly" getting into a book they are physically holding in their own hands. Trying to instill a love for reading is the ultimate goal.
My Project

This project will aid in building a classroom library that will captive students interests and provide them with a print-rich classroom environment.
These new books will also provide my students the chance to find a book that is "Just Right" for them and will help with reading confidence and hopefully lead to life-long love for reading. They will feel comfortable reading on the couch, on the reading rug, on their reading mat, or at their desk.
