My Project

I am a second year teacher looking to build a greater community of reading within my classroom. I chose books that I enjoyed reading in 8th grade, as well as some that I know are very popular. I want to have a way for students to always have something to read during our weekly reading time as well as after tests or quizzes.

I included several series and manga that I have read so that I can talk with the kids about what they are reading.

I think it would be fun to have a mini book club with some of my students where we talk about the series and discuss our thoughts.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
