Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

An awesome group of curious learners greet me each day. They are 48 (two classes) diverse, very imaginative, and eager young minds that crave to know more about the world around them. Thanks to my inquisitive learners, each day brings new challenges and intrigue. I am richly rewarded by their presence and consider it an honor to be their teacher.

A unique group of thinkers, conversationalists, and collaborators, they are our future leaders.

In order to best prepare them for their future leadership roles, they need to increase their exposure technology. My students love learning it is my goal to help them continue to thrive without limitations. These budding scientists, teachers, business executives, and global success stories are well on their way. Get ready world, these fifth graders are coming our way!

My Project

This project will afford my students an opportunity to advance their reading skills and abilities. The majority love to read and others need a bit more motivation in the area of literary engagement. My desire is to bring brand new books to their finger tips and brighten their day.

With a wide range of reading levels and genres to choose from, students will be more eager to participate in independent reading.

My greatest hope is that they will each develop a love for reading and become lifelong readers. The reading world is a non-stop vacation that I want them to know well.
