My Students

My classroom is located in the poorest zip code in Montgomery County. We have a lot of English language learners, refugees, foster children, and many families that live in great need. Our children are ages 3- 5 years old and are very excited to play with toys at school.

My Project

The Geometry light up activity will help teach colors and to compose and decompose shapes. The counting cones and scoop count ice cream will help with counting, sorting, patterns and number recognition. The water play blocks will help teach physics and three dimensional shapes. The Creature builders, magnetic builders, marble run will help in creativity, imagination, and learning how shapes fit together. The fidgets popper will help with self regulation and building confidence as they complete a job. All of these materials together will help children learn to problem solve and learn the social skills of sharing and teamwork.
