My Project

My Project

My 4th grade students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

With that, some of the students do not receive the same opportunities for learning at home and the resources that they have access to vary. The use of whiteboards is a daily activity in the classroom, especially when it comes to math and writing. When students write out math problems or are writing sentences, they retain the information presented at a higher rate.

This is my first year as a classroom teacher, and I am excited to be able to instill a love for learning within my students.

STEM has always been a huge part of my education, and I believe it is a necessity when teachings students as it's such a huge part of our society. I want to give my students exposure to STEM and to teach them to be analytical thinkers. Hands-on learning gives students the ability to problem-solve and learn through their mistakes.

Teamwork is a critical part of a working classroom. By using educational games, it will give my students the opportunity to learn how to work together and be independent learners when problem solving. The games will be used as a supplement to their reading comprehension skills that they will be practicing throughout the year.
