My Project

My diverse and curious students learn mostly through play, as they require a variety of manipulatives to help them gain skills needed. They love to build and explore and are very sensory dependent. I love their curiosity, and want to continue to encourage it in a safe and fun way.

Giving them these items that they can use to create, build and explore with, will not only keep them engaged, but will also help eliminate behaviors that can arise with boredom.

Even as young as they are, we work hard at establishing routines, working together, as well as working independently. The tiles, blocks and gears will help them work in cooperative groups as well as parallel play. I will also be able to use them in teacher directed centers to guide them. The possibilities are endless with these and my students.
