My Project

My high school students are creative, full of energy, and at their best when learning feels real. They all bring something different to the classroom—some love building, some love storytelling, and others shine when working with a team. What makes them special is how willing they are to take risks when they feel supported. When the learning is hands-on and meaningful, they open up, participate more, and start to believe they can actually use French, not just memorize it.

This project brings French to life in a way that feels real and exciting.

The materials will make a big difference in how students learn. With LEGO set #21359, they can create realistic, everyday scenes that connect directly to the vocabulary we use in class, helping them better understand and remember it. With LEGO set #31168, they can build medieval worlds, which lets us explore castles in France and adds a cultural layer to their learning. The filming tools will allow them to turn their ideas into short movies, while planning materials will help them write scripts and stay organized. Instead of just learning French, they’ll be using it to build, create, and tell stories together.

My goal is simple: I want my students to feel confident using French. I want them to see that they can communicate ideas, be creative, and work together in another language. By the end of the project, they won’t just have learned vocabulary—they’ll have created something they’re proud of. That confidence and sense of accomplishment is what will stick with them long after the project is over.
