My Project

My students are curious, creative learners who thrive when they can explore ideas through hands-on experiences. They come from a range of backgrounds and learning styles, and many benefit most from opportunities to design, build, and experiment rather than only learning through worksheets or screens. A library makerspace gives every student in our school a chance to learn by doing, collaborate with peers, and see themselves as problem-solvers and creators.

My students need durable, open-ended makerspace materials that allow them to plan, build, test, and improve their ideas.

These materials will support engineering challenges, art-integrated projects, STEM learning, and creative free-build time. With these materials, students can take ownership of their learning while developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and persistence. Most of these materials are reusable and will benefit multiple classes and students for years to come.

Hands-on learning gives students a voice and helps them see that their ideas matter.
