Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of a garden helps students learn about science. As we start to build and grow our garden we realize that we need certain items to make this happen. We also realized that we didn't have the finances to accomplish our goal.

First we are looking for some raised planter beds for our area.

We don't want to use wood because it can rot. Instead we would like to go with galvanized planters that way they last forever. This will ensure that future students will be able to use it

We also need some hose reels. This will help us keep our garden nice and tidy. We can roll our water hoses back up on the reels. It will add life to the hoses as well as keep our space appealing to the eye.

We would also like to get some trellises that would help our climbing plants. These will be perfect for our cucumbers and snap peas. I like metal trellises instead of wooden due to their longevity.

Lastly, a string line trimmer would be beneficial to our garden for maintenance. We have to maintain our garden so a trimmer would be extremely helpful.
