My Project
We are excited to build a moss terrarium in a small group! Using an engineering design process, students will research important information that will help them create a terrarium. This NGSS aligned unit is simplified to make learning the process of photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and ecosystem FUN & engaging to all 7th graders!
By building a small moss terrarium, students will be able to construct a small ecosystem to explore the chemical reactions in plants and animals.
This project promotes cooperative learning & discussion while providing time for deeper thinking. Furthermore, this is a perfect project to help students understand the impact of burning fossil fuels that can disrupt the balance in the ecosystem and cause many harmful effects to Earth's Biodiversity.
