My Project

The young adult books listed in this project will help build the most amazing culturally responsive classroom library. These books will allow students to have a variety of books to get lost in. Cultivating a love for reading is very important. This is a stepping stone to that goal.

Literacy matters.

On Fridays, I have the opportunity to take my students to our school library to read and reflect on what they read. There have been times when students have gone to the library and have not found a book that resonated with them. So, hopefully adding a rich variety of books to our own library will encourage them to read more.
