This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a high poverty area. Over 90% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Thankfully, we are able to take part in a grant that provides free lunch and breakfast to all our students. I teach special education to students from kindergarten to fifth grade with a wide range of strengths and abilities.

My Project

3Doodler pens have helped my students use their imagination and creative skills to become engineers and create buildings in my class. Our 3Doodler pen sets have been an asset to the classroom. In order to incorporate more technology, engineering, and science into the classroom my students need 3Doodler hexbug creature sets to help bring my student's imagination to life. The pens will allow my students to create their own robotic insects.

By incorporating STEM values and lessons into the classroom using 3Doodler pens they can create animals and their habitats.

They can make their own math manipulative such as fraction bars, counters, and tangrams. They can build robotic creatures.

My students will need refill plastic for our current pens and hexbug sets as well as doodle molds to help them build. The 3Doodler will provide a hands on experience for my students that will enable them to experience 3D printing in an exciting way.

I strive to try to create experiences for my students and give them opportunities so that they can explore their imagination and create wonders.
