My Students

We have all heard the phrase, "You have to dress the part!" My students need the opportunity to dress the part of a scientist! Safety goggles and gloves are an important science safety precaution students need to learn, but they also help students feel like real scientists.

I have a great group of enthusiastic 6th grade scientists who are ready to become the greatest scientific minds of the future!

We have 300 sixth graders at our school from a wide range of economic and cultural backgrounds. We have many Hispanic and Native American students as well as a sprinkling of Asian, African American, and Pacific Islanders. We had 423 economically disadvantaged students at our school last year.

My Project

Our science classes would LOVE to have these safety goggles and gloves to wear during our investigations. The goggles come in several neon colors, which make them even more fun to wear. The gloves are nitrile instead of latex, so students with allergies will still be able to participate. Many of our projects tend to get MESSY and this equipment will help students safely and comfortably participate in all of our investigations.

Each school year I strive to inspire my students to truly BECOME scientists.

Science is a way of thinking that gives students a method to find answers to their questions. These safety goggles and gloves will help me in my quest to inspire these "little scientists!"
