My students need art supplies, such as paint, paintbrushes, paper, and crayons to allow them to explore their imaginations and develop their fine motor skills through art.
The wonderful 5 and 6-year-olds in my class work hard each day to master reading, writing, math, social studies and science. While these crucial areas deserve time and attention, my students are missing out on an important chance to develop their creativity and imaginations through art.
I teach a Kindergarten class of 19 enthusiastic and smiley students.
They come to school each day eager to learn new things and are constantly questioning everything around them. With your help, these children will have the chance to explore their imaginations through art.
My Project
Through this proposal, our class would be given construction paper, a paper cutter, paint, paintbrushes, glue, and arts and crafts materials, such as pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and pom-poms. These materials will be used both as enrichment to ongoing studies in the content areas as well as a chance for free exploration during center time. With your help, the children will be able to participate in art projects where they tap into their brilliant imaginations while simultaneously developing their fine motor skills.
Through your generous donations, 19 young children will have the chance to be exposed to and engaged in various art projects and activities.
They will learn how art can enrich their studies and, perhaps most importantly, add fun to their day. Thank you so much for considering to help our class and for your support of art in public education.
