This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing and wonderful human beings. Three years ago, I started a classroom economy when I realized my students had little to no understanding of money and how to save. That's when the "Bryant Buck" was born.

My students can earn $1s, $10s, $50s, and $100s for good behavior and working hard in class.

Students have to spend their money for desk rent each month, when they need a new school supply item or when they break a rule ( " a ticket"). This teaches students wants vs. needs. They learn that there are things they have to pay for before they can buy what they need. Once a quarter students get to use their money to shop. That's where I need your help! I have many students who have bought smaller things with the hopes of buying bigger prizes. All the items on this DonorsChoose will allow my students who have saved a large amount of their money to buy a bigger prize. Anything left over will go to next year's class to have something to work towards.

All the prizes were picked out by the students!
