The best classroom management I have ever had came three years ago when I started a classroom economy. They are called "Bryant Bucks". Students have the opportunity to earn Bryant Bucks for many things such as good behavior, keeping their desk clean, doing well on an assignment, etc.
One of the things I like so much about my classroom economy is that students are learning the value of money and the difference between a want and a need. Students have to pay 5 Bryant Bucks each month for their desks. They also have to pay 1 Bryant Buck for any extra supplies they need in the classroom. These are their needs.
My students' favorite part is the want and this is where I need your help! Students get the opportunity to shop once a quarter for fun things with the money they have earned. Students also learn the skill that if they do not have enough money for an item they want, they have to save for the next shop. Students can buy items such as toys, candy, food, etc. I love buying things for my students at Dollar Tree, but I am looking for even more fun things that they can earn. Your donation would help me buy enough items for the remaining three Bryant Buck Shops. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration!
