My Project

Students and families will be able to have access and borrow books to read at home to build literacy skills and help bridge the gap and increase our home to school connection. It is important to also include books in other languages natively spoken at home and represent themselves while sustaining a culturally responsive community. More than 80% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. Our school is diverse and has had an influx of migrant families.

Accessibility to books is critical during early childhood development to promote language, literacy, and learning skills.

Our goal is to be able to provide students and families with a sustainable and equitable resource that they may not be able to afford or access. Let’s share the joy of reading and the love of language with our students and families.
