Students at our school are some of the most creative, innovative, and driven teenagers. In this area, they have learned to be innovative in acquiring the tools they need to experience new things and to open up new opportunities. These high school students are creative with fundraising and are responsible with donated tools and supplies. Brooke is so excited to teach others how to use the iPad Pro 10.5 for broadcast creations. Erish has been working on his own creations over the summer and cannot wait to share what he has learned.
With limited geographical access to big cities or exposure to museums, shows, theatre productions, or broadcasting, they have learned to create their own experiences!
With this iPad and case, our students will not only learn broadcasting basics, but will delve more deeply into publication including writing, interview skills, and planning. Groups of students will be responsible for completing the planning and script of a weekly broadcast. They will also practice video and editing skills. Getting started in high school will give our students a step up to have a skill set before college. Students with prospective careers in the industry will graduate having the expertise and confidence to pursue a life in broadcasting.
In Their Own Words
As a group, we want to produce and publish a weekly broadcast to keep our families and community informed about things that are happening in the school. I want to learn more about broadcasting, including using a teleprompter, iMovie, and production of videos. I am looking forward to being part of a new group at the school and want to create a program that will continue after I graduate.

I am so excited about being part of the school's first broadcasting group. This is something that I can see myself doing after high school and I cannot wait to dive into projects. I think that I will be best behind the camera though. I want to do the editing and publication part. I think I would be really good at organizing information and putting it all together.

This is a program that doesn't exist at our school, so we want to be the first group to put it all together. It would be a way to spotlight what is happening on a daily basis at the school, and a way to keep parents and the community informed about what we do every day. I have heard my mom say that she never knows what is going on at school so this would be a fun way to remind students, families and the community about projects, events, new teachers, important announcements on a weekly basis.
