Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a public school open to all students residing in Pennsylvania. Most of our students come from the West Chester, Downingtown and Coatesville school districts. The founders’ goal was to open a school that provided an educational choice for families which offers strong academics as well as programs not readily available in the local school districts.
All of our Technology department students will benefit from the additional headsets to provide a class set for the Mac Lab, and morning news students will directly benefit from the broadcasting system to support a high caliber production in replacement of our current 2012 model iMacs currently utilized.
My Project
Our current 2012 model iMacs were purchased with some of the first ever grant funding to our technology department. While they have stood by us through our growth within the department, as with all technology's age, it is beginning to show signs of wear.
As we continue to advance with our technology and broadcasting program, technology advances require us to update our equipment and software.
Students, through this fundraiser, will have the major component needed to develop our very first broadcasting suite through the combination of a future Wirecast Pro purchase and the iMac Pro system obtained through this fundraiser.
Headsets will go to furnishing a class set in the mac lab and hardware for mounting.
